Mr. Kozycki's career reflects a unique blend of legal expertise and leadership experience gained both in the courtroom and on the front lines. After graduating from the United States Naval Academy, he served as a combat aviator flying the F/A-18 Super Hornet in the United States Navy, completing three deployments in complex and demanding environments. As a military officer, he also supported service members through legal proceedings, including non-judicial punishment (NJP) and Court Martial cases under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). These experiences shaped his deep commitment to defending clients with the utmost diligence and integrity.

Following his military service, Mr. Kozycki turned his focus to the law, earning his Juris Doctor summa cum laude from Georgia State University College of Law, where he was inducted into the prestigious Order of the Coif. His commitment to public service continued as he interned with the Department of Homeland Security's Office of Principal Legal Advisor.

Mr. Kozycki's passion for criminal defense took root during his time with the Georgia Public Defender Council's Office of the Capital Defender, representing clients facing Georgia's most serious criminal charges. He subsequently served in the Dekalb County Public Defender's Office, where he defended clients accused of felony offenses in complex criminal proceedings. This broad foundation, from high-stakes capital cases to immigration advocacy, uniquely equips Mr. Kozycki to handle even the most intricate aspects of criminal defense.

An advocate with both heart and skill, in addition to his Juris Doctorate, Mr. Kozycki received a Certificate in Advocacy from Georgia State University in recognition of his focus on trial advocacy and awarded the “Highest Distinction in Pro Bono and Public Service” honors. Further, he is a  graduate of the prestigious Bill Daniels Trial Advocacy Program, further solidifying his reputation as a trusted and skilled advocate for his clients.
