An LPR (Lawful Permanent Resident, i.e. a non-citizen with a Green Card) came to Kozycki Law with multiple very serious felony charges: Burglary in the First Degree, Terroristic Threats, Criminal Damage and Criminal Trespass. From day one our client proclaimed his innocence and we believed him 100%. Initially, the DA's office wanted serious prison time. But worse, a conviction for any of the charges would have doomed our client's ability to remain in the United States. A conviction would have been considered an aggravated felony for immigration purposes. Should he have been convicted of any of the pending charges, he would have been stripped of his Green Card, removed from the United States, and permanently barred from coming back. 

It was a true honor to stand shoulder to shoulder with our client and forcefully proclaim his innocence. It took true courage for him to fight against the endless resources of the District Attorney's Office. But our client put in trust in Kozycki Law and we were able to get all charges dismissed.
